A rotor will create a yaw force proportional to the amount of lift produced. This means that, for helicopters, a countering yaw force needs to be created, either through a tail rotor, using coaxial rotors, or through some other method.&lt;br /&gt;

A rotor at 0 collective will not create rotor drag.&lt;br /&gt;

All rotors, except for the Rotor (Tail) component, have swashplates that can be used to change the collective, pitch and roll of the component.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Collective can be used to limit the amount of force generated by the rotor. A collective of 0 means that the rotor creates no force (&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;including&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; pitch and roll), whereas a value of 1 means that the rotor is generating the maximum amount of force. A value of -1 can be used to reverse the rotor, though this will also reverse pitch and roll.&lt;br /&gt;

Pitch and roll direction are determined through the blue direction arrows visible in the workbench. All rotors, except for the Rotor (Tail) component, have swashplates that can be used to change the Collective, Pitch, and Roll of the component. Pitch and roll use [[Thrust Vectoring]] to create pitch and roll.&lt;br /&gt;
