Overview

The instrument panel is a compact way to fit multiple (4) buttons, switches or dials into one block. It uses composite signals for both input and output.

Each "module" on the instrument panel can be individually set in the property menu of the block, where you can select their type and which composite channel they will read from or write to.

Input & Output

Interestingly the input and output composite of the instrument panel are linked, any composite channel that is unchanged by the panel will remain what it was in the input.
Meaning you can chain multiple panels in series provided they all use different channels.
